These 7mm black pearl earrings are a gorgeous soft shade of deep charcoal grey with other subtle peacock colours. Because these are peacock pearls, you may see shades of green, blue or brown as an overlay to the soft black, as shown in photo 2 (taken in bright light to show the greatest amount of colour). All of these freshwater pearls may have subtle variation in shape or hue within each pair and the pearls have been dyed to achieve these colours. These pearls are 6.5mm to 7mm and are set by me on large sterling silver cup posts. The posts come with matching sterling silver backs.

I have introduced these pearls in a classic deep black and you can choose either black colour at checkout. Please see the photo of both shades of pearls on my hand for comparison. They are both equally gorgeous. Shown on the mannequin in soft black pearls.

These earrings will be shipped in a splurge tin. Please expect subtle variations in shape within each pair of pearls. This could include a ridge at the base of the pearl as shown.

As with any pearl earrings, wearing these in water may eventually weaken the setting of the pearls on the posts and is not recommended.

How to care for your pearl earrings:

- Do not get your pearl earrings wet (even a small amount) as this will eventually dissolve the epoxy that holds the pearl to the post and you may lose the pearl

- Avoid contact with hair products, cosmetics, chemicals and perspiration

- Keep pearls away from excessive temperatures and humidity

- Clean pearls with a soft cloth

- Store pearls away from other jewelry so the pearls don't get scratched

- Follow 'last on, first off' recommendation so that the pearls are the last piece you put on and the first you take off to extend the life of the pearls
